So, last week, I went to a runway model casting call. Its been a while since I have been to one and being that I knew the people doing the show personally, thought it would be a good place to get back in the motion of getting my strut on. So as we all lined up in height order I kept my chit chat with the other models to a minimum as we all discussed our frustration with how long things were taking (as these things usually do) when it was getting closer for my turn to walk. Now aside from the 3, maybe 4, girls that I was speaking with I kept my presence to a minimum. I heard some of the models talking very loudly in a negative way about how the other models looked as they walked down the runway. "She look a mess, I hope she dont get a call back!" etc. So when it came time for me to walk well, lets just say I worked it and none of them had anything to say about me other than a few "queens" tombout "WERK IT MAMA" and "OK BOO I SEE YOU"
It just amazed me to see that the models that talked the most SH*T, had the worst walk! and they had the NERVE to talk loud and proud about their hate to those around them. All I could to was shake my head.

Just me ranting about the modeling world... this is typical model behavior I guess but its not the behavior I choose to model. I hope all of you out there that read this don't model this type of behavior, and if you do don't get mad and be a hater, step your skills up and your confidence will follow.

Teyana Taylor - Simon Sez
Produced by Jazze Pha

Socialite, singer, rapper, one of the originators of the Chicken Noodle Soup dance, and, choreographer of Beyoncé’s “Ring the Alarm” video, Teyana Taylor is back with another track since her song "Google Me" entitled "Simon Sez"

What you think about this track?- Feedback...LEAVE IT BELOW!

Want the track? - send me your email so I can send it to you.

Want Lace sunglasses like these...

but dont want to or cant afford the $210 Kerin Rose price?

You are in luck. I have made a pair of these and I want to share how I made them under $10, saving literally hundreds!

To start, you will need:
  • Safety Glasses (you can get these from a hardware store or craft store, cheaper suggestion - Dollar Tree Dollar Stores - $1)
  • Lace in any color. (I used white lace and spray painted it black because the store was out of black lace)
  • Spray Paint (optional, but you can get ultra creative with it on the lace if you pick some cool colors)
  • Scissors
  • Glue Gun
  • Embellishments (optional, but by adding chains or rhinestones you can make this look your own!)
Put it all together:
  1. If your glasses have a band that connects over the glasses, remove it before you get started.
  2. Cut a strip of lace to completely fit your glasses lengthwise
  3. Spray Paint your lace if you desire, if not skip down to the next step.
  4. With your glue gun, add a small amount of glue to one side of your glasses, preferably one side that is easy to hide glue or mistakes, and attach one side of your strip of lace to the glasses.
  5. Once the glue is somewhat dry, hold lace taught, and secure the other side of the lace to the other side of the glasses.
  6. Allow glue to dry completely and cut off excess lace in order to shape your glasses. Use a thin strip of glue from your glue gun to secure frayed edges. and you are DONE!

Check out my video on how I did it:

Let me know how you make out with your glasses!
