In case you haven't heard...Tyra Banks decided to celebrate the new season of her show, The Tyra Banks Show, by launching her own holiday National Real Hair Day on September 8th. So, in honor of NATIONAL REAL HAIR DAY, I feel the need to document my 'fro with none other than a phenomenal PHOTO SHOOT!!! :D

I have a few concepts in mind, and they are modeled by the beautiful Erykah Badu below:

The other concept that I would like to shoot is with a male model with a similar build and complexion similar to the look below, but I want to add the spin of the video below, when Ciara and 50 Cent are holding each other in the 'skin shot' with the black background. I believe it starts at the time point 2:12.

NOW LET ME SAY THIS!

Most of us know that Erykah's hair in these pictures is not all hers, its either a weave or a wig. In regards to shooting with me, my 'fro is not like the size of hers at all. My hair is approximately 1/3 or 1/2 the size of what Erykah is displaying, without fluffing (picking) it, and I can still WERK it!

With that being said, I am looking for a photographer to collaborate with me to shoot this. I am open to all suggestions and tweaks to this concept, just let me know if you are interested. I have a wonderful MAC MUA who will be handling my Make-up for the shoot(s) so whatever look we decide on shooting will be complete. Only exceptional photographers will be considered. This means...if you shoot with a disposable camera, a regular digital camera (the kind intended for personal use), and/or your current work is not of the best quality, please do not apply :)

FYI: I am only available to shoot in Philly, NJ, and NYC. If you are not in those areas, the chance that I will travel further than that boundary, is very slim.
